I would like all visitors to view my pics via the collections and sets, not via my photostream. In other words, I'd like my photostream to be invisible, while my sets and collections are visible. Is there a way to do this?

The visibility of a photo is a photo setting. If a photo is visible in a set, it is visible everywhere. Use the privacy settings to control who can see each photo.

Flickr's main design principle is as a photoblog. People don't need to wade through everything they've seen before each time they want to see what's new.
