How to remove an inactive user who faved my photo?

view profile

azli jamil - traveller in laos...  Pro User  says:

I had just made ALL my photos private and then public again. All my photos disappear from favorite list of people who made my photos favorites with the exception of one.
This person who faved one of my photos is no longer active but still remains as the lone person who had faved my photos.
I tried making the photo private and public many times and yet he still remains.
I would like that when I choose popular and then favorites, no photo will be in the list.
Any idea? Thank you.

ps: I'm not the first person on flickr who cannot handle the fave game.

There are so many pressures on flickr I cannot handle.
I have to take all this drastic actions to remain posting.
I don't belong to any groups and used to have no contacts.

You will need to request help from Flickr staff for this.

Use the Help By Email link at the bottom of the photopage that still has the fave.

Tell them exactly what you want done, and they will handle it.

It may take 3-5 days for this to happen, so be patient.

one picture with one favorite? Sounds like it is time to delete and re-upload this one pic.

The photo may have comments that azli jamil may wish to retain.
Staff will, eventually, remove the fave for him :)

Of course it's up to you how you prefer things to be with your photostream (as far as the tools Flickr gives us to monitor it). But I'm just curious about why the favorites bother you? Your photos are quite lovely, I can see why other members would want to fave them and look at them over and over again.

Hi,
The staff has responded and will delete that lone fave.
About that fave deleting thing, it has to do with some flickr friends playing the reciprocal fave games with me.
Rather than being selective, I decided to do blanket deletion.
Trust me the fave that disappeared range from 9 to 609 faves (alll my photos have been faved).
I don't need the tabulation of faves to tell me my photos are good nor do I need explore ranking either.
I just want to be seen and commented. :-)

Thank you all fro participating.

Just wondering if you are going to remove the 300+ photos in your own favorites, or is your attitude just a one way street?

Actually it is 407 faved over my 22 months on flickr.
I don't think I would remove as those people are able to handle the fave pressure.
As I said before, I couldn't.

what is this "pressure" to which you refer ? is something getting lost in translation ?

I'm wondering that myself -- How does it put pressure on you if someone adds one of your photos to their favorites?
Also, what is "the fave game" ?

I really have no idea. I can think of a lot of things that are pressure inducing, someone fave ing a photo isn't it. I'd just be excited that someone liked it well enough to do it.

I am wondering if there isn't a translation problem and we just don't understand. *sigh*

I'm wondering why there is so much angst about someone making a decision and trying to implement it.

How about we just let him go on about his business and not have to explain/justify/defend his post?

Whatever our need to understand, it's not his problem.

I asked a valid question and I got the answer.
Some of you up there are passing judgement on me.
I'm not going to respond anymore.
